AT HIS MAJESTY’S
REVUE AND VARIETY. An excellent bill is being presented at His Majesty’s this week. In tho first half Bert Elliott does some exceedingly clever juggling, and Maggie Foster continues to delight audiences with her violin, A welcome reappearance is that of Walker Vernon, who as a ventriloquist, is unique. Storey and Brookes give a first-class comedy acrobatic turn. A news film opens the bill. The second act is given to the “Escapades of the Ku Klux Klan.” a bright and ludicrous farce. George Ward and his talented little company are the Klan. The story centres round Carlton Chase (a detective), who, with his two assistants, Little Hermie (George Ward), and Abe Cohen (Bert la Blanc), endeavours to drive out the K.K.K. The playlet abounds with humour and tuneful musical numbers. Adelaide Taylor is as dainty as ever, and Lila Marion uses her splendid voice to advantage in “The Midnight Waltz” ; Daisy Yates and Yorke Gray are also good in their respective parts. Les Warton is well cast, and William Beresford is a favourite with his well-train-ed voice. The Snapshot Six, with Valda Leach as sole dancer, are features of the revue. Mr Wilfred Kahn and his orchestra help the -show along.
