It appears as though the Railway Department has seriously considered the proposition placed before it by the Foxton Chamber of Commerce to construct a light railway line to the beach, says an exchange. The district traffic manager and engineer have visited Foxton on several occasions lately, and it is understood that surveyors ar© already busy taking levels.
