Frail, the little vessel falters oil, till the tempeet, ever gathering m fury, breaks, casting the vessel up° n tl,e locks of disillusion —shattering roAnd the tempest-tossings of just such a craft were unfolded in the sombre confines of the Magistrate s Court yesterday when a woman, young ana tractive, petitioned against her husband for tho maintenance for herseit and her children. But for a fleeting moment humour peeped in to relieve the tragedy. , . . The husband (from the witness-box): My wife lias never loved me. oho simply married mo for my money and has told me so. . . , Counsel (Mr A. B. Sievwnght): Ana fiow much money had you? Witness (triumphantly): Nothing!
