“BAWRA’S” SURPLUS
BRITAIN ENTITLED TO SHARE MR HITCHCOCK’S OPINION. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association LONDON, Apr»2B. Mr E. F. Hitchcock, who was De-puty-Director of War Materials in wartime, has sent a letter to the Press stating that “Bawra’s" profits were derived principally from Britain, and that therefore a proportion of the balance of £500,000 should be allotted to Britain.
He proposes that £IOO,OOO be allotted to the Woollen and Worsted Trades Research Association at Leeds, and £50,000 to the Textile Institute at Manchester.
