PENETRATING MONGOLIA
SOVIET TO MAKE RAILWAYS CHINA OPPOSES PLAN. Telegram. (Received April 29, 7.40 p.m.) PEKING, April 28. A Japanese new’s agency reports that th« Soviet Government is planning to control the communications in Mongolia, by constructing railways connecting Urga with the Siberian lines. The Soviet is already negotiating with the Mongolian Government to this end. The agency adds that Chinese political circles are strongly opposing the project. Urga is the chief centre of population in Mongolia.
