GALE AND FLOODS
HEAVY RAIN PREDICTED (Dominion Meteorologist.) Present indications (4 p.m. yesterday) are for north-west to south-west winds strong to gale, and unsettled boisterous weather. Rain probable generally, heavy rain and flooded rivers in the West Coast and southernmost districts of the South Island, and snow on the higher levels. Barometer unsteady. D. C. BATES.
