AT WELLINGTON HOSPITAL RETIRING HONORARY SURGEONS AND PHYSICIANS DRAW IN BALLOT Tlie question of the retiring honorary surgeons and physicians at Wei. lington Hospital was considered al the meeting of the board yesterday, when the names of those to retire wuu> decided by drawing lots. Those so drawn are eligible for re-election. The vacancies are to he advertised and the appointments are to be considered at the next meeting of the hoard. The draw in the ballot resulted in the following names being drawn to retire:— Honorary surgeons: Dr. T. D. M. Stout and Dr. W. E. Herbert. Hon. assistant surgeon: Dr. Robert Stout. Hon. physicians: Dr. Giesen and Dr. E. Fenwick. Hon. assistant physician: Dr. W. Sbirer. Specialist: Dr. E. Marchant. Children’s Hospital: Dr. N. TJssher. This is the first election that has taken place under the new order of
things. < In two years’ time those continuing in office will automatically retireN instead of being drawn by lot, and the appointments be refilled in the usual way. Dr. McDonald Wilsqn, medical superintendent, suggested the following additional appointments, which were agreed to: —Electro-cardiologist; . Dehmaii/.ogist (skin disease!, an assistant urologist, and two additional hon. assistant surgeons.
