STRAND THEATRE
“THE LITTLE GIANT.”
In the new Glenn Hunter starring vehicle, “The Little Giant,” adapted from the “Saturday Evening Post” story, “Once a Peddler,” by Hugh McNair Kahler, scientific modern selling methods are pitted against the oldtime art of trie country peddler who served the rural housewife with the necessities and knick-knacks of life from tho general store on wheels in which the stock consisted of everything from tin razors to medicine for the mumps. The film opens at the Strand Theatre to-day. David Higgins plays the role of old Uncle Clem. Others supporting Hunter are Edna Murphy, Jim Bradbury, Jr., Jean Jarvis, Leward Meeker, Louise Mackintosh, Thomas McGuire, Dodson Mitchell and Pete Raymond. Also screening is “The Sunshine Trail,” starring Douglas McLean. If a soldier is reported killed in France by the War Department, can he collect Ins life insurance if he comes home alive? That’s what “Sonny” McTavisli (Douglas Mac Lean) wanted to know when he came back to his home town, expecting to be a hero, but was thrown into gaol instead. It all happens in Master Pictures’ screamingly funny comedy-drama. There is a good supporting bill, and excellent music hy Mr H. Avery.
