A GIRL VAGRANT
FORCED ,TO LEAVE HOME Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, March 26. A girl of 14 ’ was before the court to-day charged with not* having a home or settled place of abode. The police stated that the girl, on® of a family of sixteen, had been forced to leave home turough the conduct of her father, who had several times been in an asylum. The mother was now separated from him, and probably the best thing for the girl was to go hack to her home. The magistrate adjourned the case for twelve months, ordering that the girl in the meantime should be under the care of the probation- officer.
