NEW SCHOOL AT. PETONE OPENED BY ARCHBISHOP. The opening ceremony of the handsome new Roman Catholic school building, the erection of whioh has recently been completed in Britannia street, took place at Petone yesterday afternoon, and was attended by a large and representative gathering of clergy and laymen. The guest of honour was Archbishop O’Shea, who performed the official opening ceremony.
The building is a fine modern structure, and is replete with the latest up-to-date conveniences, while a spacious playing area is provided.
