DRUNKEN MOTORIST FINED
KNOCKS DOWN PEDESTRIAN Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, March 12. At the Police Court to-day, before Mr H. W. Bundle, S.M., David Russell Thompson, who was. charged with being drunk while in charge of a mo-tor-car on January 24th, was fined £lO, and costs £3 19s, and Bis license was cancelled for twelve - months. The evidence showed that' the defendant. who was a motor salesman, was driving the ear along Princes street in 'the early morning, when he knobked a man down. The latter received superficial injuries. " The magistrate said that the accused was fortunate that he was not called on to answer a manslaughter charge. ' ■
