The referee intervened in the eighth round to save, further punishment. The Dutchman had, the upper hand throughout, piling up points with right leads and left hooks to the head and body. Scott was downed first m the fifth round, hut fought hack gamely in the sixth. Tiring rapidly in the eighth, he was downed again by a right to the jaw,, and the referee stopped the fight. Scott was nob in his best form, and had a severe time reducing weight. He made a good showing in the opening rounds. ,
