THE COAL REPORT VIEWS OF BRITISH LABOUR POINTS GOOD AND BAD (Received March 11, 11.10 p.m.) LONDON, March 11. The earliest impressions of the Labour attituds on the coal commission report were gathered in the Parliamentary lobby, where the Opposition members emphatically declare that tho miners will not hear of a proposed reduction in wages. Several Labourites recognise that there are many good constructive points in the report, notably tho suggestion in regard to the nationalisation of minerals,' and the recommendations that the local authorities engage ih coal distribution and the amalgamation of tho smaller mines, but the notable weakness pointed out is that the report doe? not provide a basis for the discussion of the problem with which the industry will be faced on May Ist, when the subsidy terminates.
