M. BRIAND AGAIN TAKES OFFICE AS PREMIER OF FRANCE CABINET FORMED WHAT WILL HIS ATTITUDE BE IN THE LEAGUE OF NATIONS? After several refusals M. Briand has again accepted the Premiership of France. He has already formed his Cabinet, and it is expected that he will at once proceed to take an active part in the deliberation of the League of Nations in connection with the admission of Germany. He has not yet stated his policy, but there are rumours afloat as to what his suggestions will he. One is that he will be agreeable to Germany taking her seat on condition that Spain be also given a permanent place. There is also talk of France suggesting that the Rhineland be placed solely under the control of the League.

Briand is expected to return on Thursday when rapid progress will be made in view of the fact that the Germans are chafing against the delay.
