PERSONAL AND GENERAL. (From Our Own Correspondent.) MASTER-TON, M*arch 16. Mr H. AV. Slater, at present on the staff of the Napier High School, has been appointed second assistant at the Wairarapa High School. The election for three’ parents’ repre seutafcives on the Wairarapa Secondary Education Board, resulted as follows: Dr Scholefield 412, Mrs T.. R. Bauer 390, Mr E. L. Holmwood 250, Mr D. A, Pickering 198, Rev. G. King 186. Mr and Mrs J. K. Hannah were tendered a farewell social by residents of Bketahuna, and presented with a gold watch, and pair of vases and c'ase of spoons, respectively. from a motor collision which occurred on the Alfredton road in July, 1925, Robert S. Ncihng, farmer, of Pleokville, near Ekftohuna, proceeded against J. F. Baillie, undertaker, of Bketahuna, for £174 special damages and £3OO general damages, at the Supreaie Court. The jury, after a retirement of 20 minutes, returned a verdict fo: defendant.
