NAVAL ESTIMATES
FOR THE DOMINIONS ANNOUNCED IN COMMONS. Australian and NZ. Cable Association. LONDON, March 9. In the *Houso of Commons, Mr J- C. Davidson, Under-Secretary for the Admiralty, informed Mr Hore-Belisha (Con.) that the amounts of current estimates for naval purposes were; Canada/£1,400,000; Australia, £3,921,000, plus £3,000,000 special appropriation for defence purposes; New Zealand. £538,000; South Africa, £140,000: India, £736,000, plus £IOO,OOO towards the maintenance of the East Indies Squadron; Hongkong, £120,000 towards the Singapore Base.
