AMERICAN WHEAT CROP
COMPARISON WITH LAST YEAR AMOUNT STILL ON FARMS. Australian nnd N.Z. Cable Association. (Received March 10, 7.45 p.m.) WASHINGTON, March 9. The Department of Agriculture has announced that the wheat on the farms on March Ist was about 99,279,000 bushels, or 4.8 per cent, of the 1925 crop, as compared with 112,042.-
000 'bushels, or 13 per cent, of the crop of 1924, held on the same date last year.
The wheat ir. the country mills and elevators totalled 75,429,000 bushels, or 113 per cent,, as against 67,622.000 bushels, or 7.8 per cent, of the same date last year. About 68.6 per cent, of the wheat held on the farms will he shipped out of the counties where it is grown, compared with 71.3 per cent, cf the 1924 crop.
