March S. The American association for the advancement of Atheism has announced that atheistio societies similar to the “Damned Souls’ Club,” at the University of Rochester, will shprtly be established in many colleges* throughout llie country. Mr Freeman Hopv ood, general secretary, 'declared that branches are expected to be established at Yale nnd the University of Kansas within a few d<;ys, and that it is likely that at least a dozen branches be functioning by the end of the present term. Mr Hop .rood said: “Our association will supply them with liteiature and co-operate in every way. We especially endorse the inviting of professors to address and advice them. Experience has shown ihat the United States has a goodly percentage of professors who are atheists.
