OF DAIRY PRODUCE STRENUOUS OPPOSITION Per Pross Association. PALMERSTON NORTH, March 9. Strenuous and almost undivided opposition to the enforcement of absolute control of dairy produce on August Ist was voiced at a meeting of some forty directors and suppliers representing twenty-four dairy factories in the Manawatu, which was addressed to-day by Messrs L. J. Gardner (organising secretary of the Free Marketing League), J. Hine (Taranaki), A.. Nicol (Tiakitahuna), J. A. Nash, M.P., and others At the conclusion a resolution, moved by Mr P. Dixon (Makowhai), was carried with two dissentient voices. It read “That this meeting considers the time is inopportune for the talcing over by the Dairy Board of compulsory control.”
