BIG FISH CONTEST
ZANE GREY LEADING With a total of 37 big-game fish landed with his own rod, Air Zane Grey has been ths most successful sportsman in the Bay of Islands to dat? this season, writes a Russell correspondent. So far the Bay of Islands Swordfish Club, which at present has exactly 100 financial members, has certified the capture of 203 big-game fish, and as the season is onjy Half-way through, it promises to be a record. Recent catches are: Air Zane Grey, swordfish. 3051 b, 2601 b, 2oOlb, ond 2001 b, launch Alma G , Captain Alitchell, swordfish, 2041 b and 2241 b, launch Marlin: Major Corbet (England), swordfish, 1981 b, launch Speedwell.
