PLAY AT DANNEVIRKE HAWKE’S BAY CHAMPIONSHIPS RESULT OF OPENING GAMES Per Press Association. DANNEVIRKE, January. 27. The Hawke’s Bay provincial championship tournament commenced at Dfintievirko to-day in perfect weather on twelve splendid courts. This is the first occasion for fourteen or fifteen years that the championship tournament has been held at Dannevirke. Over 100 players are participating in the tournament, which will run into next week. Results of the play in the championship games are as follow: MEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP SINGLES First Round.—A.
