O') DISEASE DUE TO PIGMENT "EDIBLE PLANTS HARMFUL.” o (Sydney “Sun” Cable.) LONDON, January 26 The Glasgow Cancer Hospital is investigating Sir George Beatson’s theory that pigment causes cancer. Sir George regards manure as a source of deleterious pigments, and thinks modern methods of cultivating eoible plants harmful. He denounces the indiscriminate use of preservatives in food, as many contain pigments.
