MARRIED AGAIN
THOUSANDS OF WAR WIDOWS PENSIONS BILL LOWER. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, January 24. The fact that 96,800 war widows have remarried since 1917 is disclosed in the Ministry of Pensions report for the year ended Alarch 31st, 1925, when there were 1,905,000 recipients of pensions, of whom there were 51,000 offioers and dependants. The cost for the year was £69,122,000, as compared with £72,448,000 for the preceding year making a total to date of £598,000,000 for pensions.
