TAKING TIME BY FORELOCK CITY REPRESENTATIVES TO INVESTIGATE PROPOSAL FOR 1930 A suggestion was made some days ago that an international exhibition should be held in Wellington in 1930, and in oird'er to gain all possible information regarding the organisation of the Dririedin and South Seas Exhibition, with a view to applying the'' most modern methods in Wellington should the proposal materialise, Mr W. S. Wilson and Captain R. H. Nimmo leave on Wednesday to spend their holidays in Dunedin, and will interview the responsible authorities, and make a thorough investigation of the system on which the Exhibition is hieing run. They also propose tof interview the representatives of overseas commercial And industrial firms arid of the various Governments represented as to the support which may be expected for the Wellington enterprise. On their return to Wellington'they will present a joint report to the Wellington Winter Show Association, They have been given letters of introduction to Mr <3. P. HainswartK, general manager of the Dunedin Exhibition, by the Mayor. - Captain Nimmo stated that the opportunity of benefiting by the experience of the Dunedin Exhibition while it was in progress should not be missed, and they did not eee why Wellington should not go one better than Dunedin if it was decided to bold an Exhibition here five years hence.
