AT THE HOSPITAL
ODDS AND ENDS Purchases authorised by the Hcrtk pit’al Board yesterday included half a ton of liorsehair and 50,000 yards of hospital gauze. A male night attendant at the V.D. ward of the hospital is to be appointed forth*v»ta. Nurses J. Gendall, 11. Scott, and O. P. Barron have completed their training at the hospital and have resigned . The water account for October Was £64 17s against £77 6s for October, 1924. The electric light account was £66j an increase of £23, and electricity for heat and power £4l, an increase of £l4. i The gas bill was £lO7, only £2 higher than a year ago. The balance-sheet has been received from the Controller and’ Auditor-Gen-eral certified as correct. The chairman, Mr C. M. Luke, said the balance bad been returned “without a taz a* usual.” which was very creditable 10 the board’s officers.
