The old track will be done away with entirely, and will for the greater part be taken into the lawn, and outside enclosures. The new course will run down the boundary of Windsor road, to the old brickyard, and the run home will be in line with the present number board. The.track will be one of nine furlongs,' with' a uniform width of 100 ft., the turns having an eight ohains radius, which will make them as perfect ns engineering skill can devise. In addition to the course proper, a grass gallop, a" plough _ and sand track will be formed for training purposes. Tenders submitted for the forming of the course have been considered by the committee, and that of Messrs Bray and Co., of Onehunga, accepted. “When the scheme of improvements as 'mapped out is completed the Avondale Jockey Club’s racecourse and grounds can be depended upon to win high favour.” dargMlFraces CUP TO RIGHT AND LEFT PRINCESS RONNTE WINS RAILWAY.
