He managed to scramble) out, and his cries attracted attention. He was fearfully burned about the body, thighs, and . arms, aiid though medical _ aid was summoned, he died of the injuries. * INVERCARGILL, November 17. The infant son of Mr J. H. Aldridge was left for a moment in the kitchen, and drank boiling water from the spout of a kettle standing on the range, and was fatally scalded in the mouth and throat.
