Hr M. Cohen, chairman of the Wellington Harbour Board, referring at the meeting last night to the deatfyof General Melt ill, said that while this distinguished soldier had not been brought in contact with the Harbour Board it was only fitting that public bodies should pay a tribute to such an able man, and he had ashed the secretary to write to the widow expressing the hoard’s sympathy. His action was approved. At the meeting of the Wellington Harbour Board last evening the chairman. Mr M. Cohen, referred to the death of the Hon. C. H Izard, who had been associated with the board as its solicitor since 1886.
