Store Sheep.—The yarding consisted mainly of hoggets, for which there was a slightly firmer sale, and some three-quarter-bred ewe hoggets made up to 40s. Values were: Good, crossbred ewe hoggets,' 37s to 40s • other crossbred ewe hoggets, 30s to 38s; good lialfbrcd wether hoggets, 31s 6d; small and inferior wether hoggets, 24s lid to 265; four, six and eight-toothed wethers, 36s 3d to 38s; six and eight-toothed three-quarter-bred wethers, 37s 9d; aged ewes and lambs, 20s to 23s (all counted); failing-mouthed three-quarter-bred ewes, 26s 9d.

Fat Sheep.—A very small yarding and about 33 per cent, less than usual- A koen sale over the earlier stages, but a slackening over the final part, butchers buying conservatively at high values. Extra prime wethers s made from 55s to 635; prime, 49s to 545; medium, 44a to 545; medium, 44s to 48s; light, 39s to 4ss 6d; extra prime ewes, 50s to 56s 4d: prime, 40s 6n to 455; medium 36s 6d to 40s; light 33s to 365; hoggets. 37s 7d to 465.

Fat Cattle.—A small entry of 360 head, which included 50 North Island cattle and 59 Marlborough. An improvement, of # up to 35s per head was averaged for prime cattle. Extra prime mediumweight local beef made up to 60s per 1001 b, prime 52s 6d to 56s 6d, heavy 51s 6d to 555, medium 47s to 50s, light 42s to 465, and rough down to 32s 6d. Store Cattle.—A larger entry and a brisker sale from an increased circle of buyers. Three-year 6teers made from £lO 10s to £ll 10s; two-year steers, £6 15s to £7 ss; yearling, £2 5s to £3 2s 6d; two-year heifers, £5 5s to £6 ss. Dairy Cattle —An easier demand. Good springers, cows, made from £6 to £9 10s; medium, £4 to £5 10s; best springing heifers, £7 to .£lO 10s; medium, £i to *B6. ■ - Eat Pigs.—Prices were easier. ‘ Chop-pers-made from £i to £7 18s 6d; baconers, £5 to £S 5s (average price per lb 9(d to lOkl'i; porkers, 52s to 84s (overage price per lb lOd to 10(d). Store Pigs.—All good stores sold well. Weaners mode from 25s to 325; stores, 28s to 465; extra large, to 555.
