WTRRAL FROM CANADA. The Now Zealand Shipping Company have received advice thnt the steamer Wirral arrived at Sydney (Cape Breton) nn September 19th from Montreal and sailed the following day for Newport News and New Zealand. The Wirrnl lias cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Sydney and Melbourne, and is expected at Auckland about October 29th.

COASTAL TRADE. The Kapiti, due at Wellington to-mor-row from' Wanganui, sails on Saturday on the return trip. The Hawera arrives here on Sunday from Patea and leaves on the return trip on Monday. The Calm, is now due at Wellington to-day from Wanganui, and sailß later in the day for Dunedin direct. Oamaru, and Timaru; The Storm, from Wanganui, arrives here to-morrow and leaves the same day for Lyttelton, Bluff. Dunedin, and Timutu. The Gale is due at Wellington to-mor-row from Dunedin and way ports, and sails the same day for Wanganui. She returns here on Sunday and leaves on Monday for southern poTts. The Breeze, loading at Dunedin tomorrow; thence Oamaru, Timaru and Lyttelton, arrives at Wellington on Tuesday next- and sails the same day for Wanganui.

The Kolii, due here to-day from Havelock, leaves to-morrow for Nelson, Havelock, and Bays. The Echo, sailing to-day for Blenheim, returns to Wellington on Saturday. The Kennedy, due here to-morrow from Foxton, suils on the return trip the same day.

The Wairau, from Lyttelton, via Blenheim. arrives at Wellington to-morrow and leaves the same day on the return trip The Kaimai, loading at Greymouth, leaves to-morrow for Miramar and -Wellington. The Kahika, from Dunedin and way ports, arrives Here to-day and sails later in the day for Napier and Gisborne. The Kaiapoi, which is bar-bound at Westport, is expected to be able to clear there to-day for Lyttelton. The Kaimanawa sailed from Auckland yesterday for Westport direct. The Kaitangata left Melbourne at 3.30 p.m. on Tuesday for Auckland and Wellington, and is due at Auckland about Tuesday - next. The' Kaitoke is due at Newcastle on Saturday to load for Lyttelton. The Ivomata, still bar-bound at Westport, is expected to clear there to-day for Wellington, where she is due tomorrow.

The Kamo left Gisborne last evening direct for Dunedin, where she is due on Saturday. She loads at Dunedin, thence Oamaru, Timaru and Lyttelton, for Wellington, Napier and Gisborne, and is due at this port about Wednesday next.

The Kahri loads at Newcastle early next week for Auckland.

The Kurow, from Dunedin via Picton, left Wellington yesterday for Auckland, where she loads for Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin.

The Sussex cleared Lyttelton yesterday for Timaru, thence Dunedin and Bluff, to complete her discharge of Eastern cargo. The Waihora leaves Newcastle to-day for Lyttelton direct. Tho Wanaka sailed from Wellington yesterday for Dunedin, thence Bluff, where she loads on Saturday, thence Oamaru, Timaru and Lyttelton, for Wellington and Auckland. The Wingatui, leaving Auckland tomorrow, arrives at Wellington on Monday and sails the same day for Lyttelton. Dunedin, and Timaru.

The Opua, due here to-day from Lyttelton. leaves later in the day for Nelson and New Plymouth. The Ngakuta cleared Portland last evening, amt arriving at Wellington on Saturday, sails the same day for Lyttelton.

The Waikawa arrives here to-day from Lyttelton and sails to-morrow for Auckland.

The Kairanga arrived at Newcastle on Tuesday to load for Napier. The Wootton, due here on Sunday from Lyttelton, sails on Monday on the return trip. The Alexander arrived at Wellington last evening from Napier, and leaves today for Picton, Westport, and Greymouth.

The Huddart, Parker Company'6 steamer Ulimaroa arrived in the stream at 12.15 p.m. yesterday, and , after pratique was granted berthed at No. 1 Queen's wharf. The Ulimaroa was to have sailed from Sydney on Friday, but owing to a shortage of men in the stokehold, she did not clear the New South Wales port until 11 a.m. on Saturday. KOSHO DELAYED. The steamer Kosmo has been delayed and now clears Auckland to-day for Wellington, where she is due here on Saturday to continue her discharge- of New York cargo. From this port the vessel proceeds to Lyttelton, thence Timaru, Dunedin and Wanganui, to complete. The A. and A. lane are the agents for the Kosmo. ERVIKEN LEAVES LYTTELTON. The G. 11. Scales Company advise that the steamer Erviken sailed from Lyttelton yesterday for Dunedin, where she completes her discharge of Australian hardwoods. CANADIAN SPINNER. The Canadian Government line advise that the steamer Canadian Spinner returns to Wellington on October 3rd from Dunedin for loading. She sails again on October stli for Auckland, where she completes loading and sails on October 9th for New York, Boston and Halifax. CAPTAIN OF THE NUCULA. Air A. W. Beardsall, who has recently hold the position of chief officer on the K.M.S. Makurn, hns been appointed to the command of the Admiralty’s oil tanker Nucula, on the New Zealand naval station and will take up the appointment when the Nucula. arrives at Auckland in November. Captain C. F. Haughton, who is at present in command will complete his three'years’ ap. pointinent with this voyage and will then leave for England. The Nucula first visited Auckland 17 months ago with the Special . Service Squadron. She is now bunkering H.M.S. Dunedin in the Islands, and nftetwards proceeds to San Pedro to replenish her oil tanks and should return to Auckland in time to hunker the Dominion’s new cruiser, H.M.S. Diomede upon her arrival, The second tank at the naval base at Devonport should be completed l>y that time, and the balance of the Nucula’s oil will be transferred to it.
