QUEEN’S THEATRE
LAST NIGHT OF “CONTRABAND.” “Contraband,” which tells the tale of a young woman and her efforts to improve a town per medium of .a newspaper business she has inherited, will be screened for the last time, in company with a good supporting programme, at the Queen s Theatre this evening. PARAMOUNT SPECIAL TOMORROW “THE SHOOTING OF DAN McGREW.” A special production will be seen at the Queen’s Theatre to-morrow (Friday), when a Paramount Masterpiece entitled “The Shooting of Dan McGrow,” an adaptation of Robert W. Service’s poetical work, “The Spell of the Yukon,” will he screened. The new picture tells a story of dramatic hate between two men, an actual happening in the days of the Yukon gold rush. Barbara La Mkrr Lew Cody, and Percy Marmont play the great roles or the lady known ae Lou, Dan McGrew, and Jim, the husband. The exceptional cast also includes Mae Busch, George Siegmann, and others. The soene starts, in the skinth Sea Isles, moves to New York, and then moves to Yukon, lending a variety of settings both beautiful and satisfying to the eye, and forming an ideal background. A special musical programme is scheduled
