THE BARQUE ELFRIEDA FIRST FOR ELEVEN YEARS. The German barque Elfrieda has arrived. The Elfrieda is the first Ger-man-owned vessel to visit Auckland sinee the outbreak of the Great War. The Elfrieda is bringing a cargo of guano loaded, at Surprise Island. She cleared the island on September Bth, hut fla she is not equipped with wirelees, her arrival at this port waa; indefinite. When the barque was reported from Tiri, the Harbour Board’s tug Te Awhina was dispatched to tow her into port.
