FREE RIDES ON, TRAMS.
• The Wellington City Council is prepared to do its fair share in| the entertainment of the members of the American Fleet on the oobasion of their: forthcoming visit to Wellington. This ,was made clear last evening when_the council decided to’ grant to the sailors the free use of the trams; with a request that the 1 cars he used as little as possible between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. - s ' , It was also decided to grant the men the free use. of. the municipal golf links and the tennis courts at Day’s Bay.
