• (Sydney “S'-n”, Cable ) ; OTTAWA. July- 23A man named Leslie Hathaway robbed a .bank at Thorndale. He looked four clerks who lived above the bank in a vault while ho Btole 6000 dollars and drove away in an automobile. When he had driven eix miles out of town, he, beoame worried as te whether 'the clerks would be suffpeated, and returned. He found himself unable to open the vault, and called the police, and assisted them to 'get an expert, who freed the fainting clerks. Hathaway quietly slipped away again, but was arrested at the next town. ,
