REST ROOMS DISCUSSED IMPROVEMENTS SOUGHT. Improved facilities In the ladies’ rest, rooms in various parts of the city were sought by a deputation • representing the "W.C.T.U., which waited upon the Mayor (Mr C. J. B. Norwood) and tho chairman of the health committee (Councillor •H. D. -Bennett) yesterday, although a special point was made of the faeff that no complaint could _be voiced as to the conduct of the existing rooms. A conversational conference was held, every phase of the matter being talked over, and recommendations for improvement being submitted by the ladies. The Mayor, in comnfenting upon the matter later, expressed' gratification that the conduct of the rest-rooms had been found satisfactory, and added a word of appreciation of the efforts of the W.C.T.U.) in advancing the woman’s point of view. The matters which had been discussed were of *a more or less domestic nature, and the conference had sorted to provide the civic authorities with valuable materia] Upon which to work in improving the rest-rooms.
