HAS TILDEN BROKEN RULE? INQUIRY ORDERED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. NEW YORK, July 22. A special meeting of the executive committee of the United States Lawn Tennis Association is to be held on August Ist to consider an alleged infraction of the amateur rulo by W. T. Tilden, the champion. The rule prohibits players engaged in a .tournament from writing comment, and Tilden is declared to have violated this rule bv giving his comment during the recent tournament at St. Louis in the form of interviews.
