MATERNITY HOSPITAL
FOR LOWER HUTT SITE QUESTION REFERRED BACK. At the meeting of the Wellington Hospital Board yesterday, the finance committee recommended that the hoard’s property comprising ten acres at Lower Hutt, he submitted to the Health Department for the Minister’s approval as a site tor the proposed maternity hospital in the Hutt Valley. Mr F. Castle proposed the adoption of the recommendation. ' Mir A, J. McCurdy proposed that it be referred back. The hoard was arranging a conference with the Department of Health in connection with St. Helen’s Hospital, and he thought the matter should he considered in coniunction with it.
The amendment was adopted and the clause referred hack.
