EUCHRE TOURNAMENTS
LEGALITY ATTACKED MAGISTRATE RESERVES DECISION. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, July 22. Tho Magistrate this morning reserved his decision, in the charges againstJames Blackburn and Reginald Stillwell, of using the Caledonian Hall as a common gaming house. The cases were brought to decide the legality of euchre tournaments. It was not submitted by the police that euchre is illegal, but that it is illegal as played at these tournaments.
