PIONEER CLUB
ARTS AND CRAFTS CIRCLE. The annual meeting of the Arts and | Crafts Circle of the Pioneer Club, presided over by Lady Osborne-Gibbcs, was held at the club reruns recently. An excellent report of the year’s work was read, and altogether it was a most successful meeting. The circle lias helped various objects calling for assistance, and a very good display of wora, including raffia, leather, pewter mar-, quetry, and needle work, was held on November 20tli.' 1924. at the club. Mrs. Roskruge and Mrs Amos, to -whom sincere thanks are due, resigned their positions of secretary and treasurer respectively, and Miss Myers was elected in their place. The year ended with nn enjoyable afternoon tea given by the president at which a presentation was given, to Mrs.Blvth.' ' Ladv Osborne-Gibbcs was unanimously elected president, of the Art Circle for the ensuing year, also Mrs Duller as vice-president. The committee comprise Mrs Duncan. Mra Rule, Mrs Edwards. and Mrs. Jervic. Ladv Gibbes was presented with a beautiful bouquet from the members the circle, and the following murk •*: appreciation to her was carried with acclamation: “We. the members of the Art Circle of the Pioneer Club, desire to place. on record; our very hearty apperciatfon* •of I*, the services of Lady Osborne-Gibbes ae our president,” and very eulogistic remarks followed.
