BIRTHS AND DEATHS. In the month of Jnne there were 641 deaths in the Dominion, and pf these 49 were under the age of ot)o year,' 13 between the ages of one arid five, and 479 over the age of five. The proportion of deaths to the 1000 of population for the month was 0.81. The total number of births was 1011, or a proportion of 1.51 to the thousand of population. The figures for May were 1089. Infant mortality for June was 6.88 per 100 births, and for the six months ending Jnne 4.44 per ICO births.
