GREAT WELCOME IN BELGRADE.
Australian and N.Z. Cablo Association. (Received July 20, 5.5 p.m.) BELGRADE, July 19. M. Raditch and five other leaders of the Peasant Party were released today, at the special wish of the King. They had served eight months of their term of imprisonment for treason. Great crowds welcomed them.
Raditch, described as “the stormy petrel of Central Europe,” is the leader of the Croats, who, after the Armistice, became merged with the Serbians in the new State of Jugoslavia. The Croats are outnumbered by the Serbs, and they demand home rule.
