STOP WORK ON SATURDAY
TEXTILE UNIONS’ RESOLVE RESISTING OUT IN WAGES. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, July 18. Following a long conference of the textile unions at Bradford, it was announced that all operatives would cease work on July 25th unless in the meantime there was some move by the employers. More then ,250,000 workers will be affected. A message published on Saturday stated that notices had been posted in (he wool factories of Yorkshire to enforce a 5 per cent, reduction in wages which the operatives rejected.
