DECISION AT MASTERTON
NO LIQUOR FOR SAILORS PUBLIC MEETING RESOLUTION. Per Press Association MASTERTON, July 20. A public meeting was held to-night to arrange for tho reception of the American sailors, 350 of whom are spending a day here on August 13th. Five days later 60 will spend a day and night as the guests of citizens. ' ' At a subsequent executive meeting the matter of supplying liquor at the publio luncheon was discussed. Opinion teas divided on the matter, hut a resolution that no liquor be provided either to sailors or offioers at any public function .was carried without dissent.
