FIRE-FIGHTER KILLED
CONCRETE WALL COLLAPSED TWO OTHER FIREMEN INJURED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. (Received July 20, 8.40 p.m.) Melbourne, July 20. One fireman was killed and two others were injured when the concrete parapet of a burning building collapsed to-day. , . The fire broke out in the hoot factory of 8. B. Harris. Ltd., in the city. Shortly after the brigade arrived the parapet fell, and buried three firemen. F. Holness (31) was killed instantaneously. qnd Albert McHenry and Her. bert Gill were injured, and sent to hospital. Holness is the first member of the Metropolitan Fire: Brigade to be killed in fighting a fire in Melbourne. Two dther firemen narrowly escaped from the falling wall. The damage done to ths factory hs estimated at £6OOO.
