ORANGEMAN MAKES A FIGHT POLIOE CALLED IN. (Sydney "Sin”' Cable.) LONDON. July 19. There was a sensational happening in Glasgow. Ephraim O’Connor, a prominent Orangeman, endeavoured to pry into the doings of the Communists. He was accepted as a probationer, but eventually' the Communists became suspicious, and at a secret meeting accused him of trafficking in secrets, drafted an indictment, and, ordered him to .eign it. . . O’Connor counterfeited a signature, but the Communists discovered the ruse, improvised a' court-martial, and sentenced him to “run the gauntlet’’ between two rows of delegates, by whom he was severely pummelled. He retaliated so furiously that the Communists called the police, who arrested O’Connor, .but subsequently released him.
