AUCKLAND v. WELLINGTON THE FINAL SCORES. When the annual 20-a-side telegraphic match between the above clubs waa played a month ago, two games were not accounted for. These two games, vie., Mackay v. Arapoff, and Fouhy v. Ogle, have now been declared draws by the Canterbury members of the New Zealand Adjudication Board. The final score is therefore as follows: "RnfiTvT W«dlin<rtnn. Auckland.

From the above schedule of results it will be seen that the local club wins the annual match 01—9), but that the Auckland Chess Club scores a point for tho club championship of tho Dominion by having made the oetter score at the first twelve boards (7—5). The late Mr Justice Denniston (a fine player, who was particularly strong in the end-same), was an interested spectator at some of the later contests. Tt has been the nrivilege of only two players to take part in nil eleven contests, vis., Messrs \V. Mm-Kuy and | F. K. Kelling, both of Wellington.
