METHODIST MEETING
TARANAKI STREET CIRCUIT. The regular quarterly meeting was held on the 13th instant, Rev. C. Eaton presiding over a good attendance. The membership returns were reported as normal throughout the circuit. Due to the very wet Quarter and increased circuit liabilities tne balancesheet revealed a small deficit. Reports were received as to the visit of the American Fleet, and arrangements were made for special services and en tertainment. The Sunday school work was hampered owing to the difficulty of obtaining sufficient teachers. A special committee was set up to consider the possibility of employing an extra agent in tho circuit, especially to assist the Sunday school work. A report was received concerning the extension of the Ladies’ Missionary Auxiliary in the circuit. Rev. Eaton outlined the proposals for a special mission to be at Taranaki street for the week, from 19th to 26tli instant, as the main effort in the spiritual advance campaign. Mr Burley, of Hankey street, was appointed circuit secretary to the Y.P. department.
