SUMMER TIME
PERMANENCE LAW PASSED ENGLAND SATISFIED. Australian and N.Z. Cablo Association. LONDON, July 17.. The House of Commons, without a division, passed the third reading of the Summer Time Bill, by which summer time will in future begin at 2 a.m. on the Sunday following the third Saturday in April or a week earlier if Easter intervenes, and will end at 2 a.m. on the Sunday following the first Saturday in October. Hitherto the fixing of the da tea for the beginning and ending of summer time in Britain has been the subject of a special enactment each year. Tho new Act makes summer time a permanent institution.
