NEW AGE OF OIL IN ENGLAND ?
A discovery of the first importance to British indusiry is foreshadowed by researches now being made independently in England nnd Germany, says the "Daily Chronicle.” This consists in the conversion of coal into oil on a commercial basis: and the British experiments have yielded extremely hopeful ’ results. At present; Great Britain needs oil which she cannot produce, and produces oil which she cannot sell profitably abroad.
