A VALUABLE MAP
France has just discovered that, all unknown to herself, she has for years been in possession of a precious relic—the map of the world made by Columbus before he started on bis voyage of discovery. This map has been in the Bibliotheqne National©, in Paris, since IEI9, but it was supposed to be a sixteenth century Portuguese map, and was catalogued as such. However, M. Charles de La Ronciere, historian of the French Navy, has succeeded in proving that it is the actual map which Columbus showed to Ferdinand and Isabella at Sant© Fe when begging for Isabella at supplies in 1491. A copy of this interesting map has been made with an explanatory text.
